VW Beetle v3 launched. Retro or rubbish?
-
I kind of like it, Mike. Maintains its form yet pushes the boundaries.
Here's Car of the Year in OZ:
It has been a little wet down here...
-
now that is cool. So James Bond.

Ahhh Andrew joins us! I man of excellent taste!
-
Yes, but still on PC, Mike...
-
No one is perfect .... you will get around to the 'switch' in good time
-
Tut tut tut.....
Good taste? This from 'The Mojito Man' and 'The Gin Man'?
Let's get serious here. I'll concede that Macs aren't completely rubbish (they do make good doormats). But for all things sacred at least wipe the crud off your screens and look again at both the Nissan Puke and the VW Brutal.
Or is there something blocking your vision? -

Why is it the people who use macs also like shit cars?
This is all your bloody fault!! You had to do it didn't you? Go derail the thread again!
What have taste in cars got to do with owning a Mac? Are Porsche shit cars? Are...... Oh never mind.....!!
-
I think the problem with 'real men' and Macs is that Macs look too 'girlie'. Am I right or am I right?
-
Do you find it hard to type on a Mac? What I mean is does your apron get in the way? And about the TrackPad, does it work when you've Marigolds on?
I'm after reading that the SatNav on the new Beetle is faulty. Apparently it only seems to bring you back to the place you bought car?
Who'd win in a drag race between a Beetle and a Juke?
Who cares...

-
.... then again we have the Dalla Lama and Saudi Royals but they like to ware dresses ... so maybe don't count
-
... hold on! I think Al Gore saves the day ..... although he could do with a girl friday!
-
I think I see white out on one of Gore's screens.
-
Now give me one of these and I will be happy. Although I am trying to figure out where to store my clown shoes.

Chevy Volt? no thanks...

Government Motors Car of the Year... $45,000? no thanks. I'll buy two classic Mustangs for that price and still beat all those daily driver fools at the pump. (work from home)
people keep bitching about oil... and how evil cars are. did you know that 16 super tankers put off as much CO2 as all the cars in the world?
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-1229857/How-16-ships-create-pollution-cars-world.html
do you have any clue how many super tankers there are? do you know how many ships there are? did you know that most everything in the world is produced by oil is some form or another? everything in the chevy volt is made from petroleum products... and what ever isn't made from them is covered in them and created through the use of and then transported by petroleum.
it takes 5 hours to charge the chevy volt to the minimum requirement.... so when you're driving down the road and it runs out of juice... it's sit there for 5 hours or time to use good old gasoline.
-
hmmm.. okay.
I have a confession, I'm buying a 'people carrier', got family, got dog, got need for 7 seats.
I'm getting one of these.

In my defense I do have an Infiniti (2009) M45 and a BMW 325 convertible (2004).

I think the minivans have probably came a long way on safety. the remote doors are awesome. I have an expedition. seats 8... but gets like 17 or 18 mpg city and like 20 highway. I only drive like 20 miles a week if that. but when the Apocalypse gets here... I can drive over just about anything.
-
Well my wife and I could not succumb to the minivan. We got this Mazda CX9 recently and love it.
Of course I still have my trusty truck.
-
I had a southwest package 2002 Dodge work truck. the rims and tires were awesome. didn't like the drive selector and steering column. but it was a nice truck.

Nice! That's the kind of thing I'd like. But the chances are that we'd wake one morning to find it gone!
