Need help making a sweet gaming chair
-
Hi people.
I need masive help (IE Step by step tutorial) on how to make a sweet gaming chair in sketchup. It has to look awsome too.
The problem is that I cannot access youtube, nor many other tutorial sites, and most certainly not file sharing, and software sites. This is because I have been asked to make a chair for Design & Tech, and i have made a chair. Now I want to top the rest of the students, and make a gaming chair, in high detail. I would use youtube for tutorials, but im at school and its blocked. I dont have sketchup at home and even if i did, i couldnt get the files to school because my home computer is so corrupt it thinks a 8GB Lexar Jumpdrive is a USB Memory Bar USB (but thats something else). School even blocks things because they are educational. They may even block this website too in about a week or 2.

Can you upload a picture of what you are trying to achieve?

Nathan,
I would suggest you buy one of the many good books of SketchUp!

You mean something like this?

I'd use basic techniques to begin with. You learn faster that way. Here's a sequence to start you off. Use the scene tabs to work through it. It looks like the seat and base can be largely done using PushPull, Follow Me...and a little more bevelling to soften some edges.
