Today (all of a sudden) the "steel column" tool stopped working. All of the other tools appear to be working fine. I have not changed any of the scripts or files associated with this plugin for quite a while.

When I click on the steel column icon, a window for selecting member sizes does not appear.

Hi,SUFractal.

well,I do not have a point to which it occurs.

So I want to see the ruby console on your sketchup.

Show "Ruby console" from "Window" menu.
Start Building structure tool"Steel Column".

Copy the message shown in ruby console.

And post it.

I will see and consider the problem.

This has happen to me also. I found that if you go to the plugin menu and clear defaults it will start working again. At least on my computer that works.

I am working with Sketchup 8 pro on a mac. The .rb file and the folder are in the right place and the tool bar is there. However when I open to select a tool the tool window is blank. All the appropriate file paperer to be in the folder. Any suggestions?

Further to my earlier post today I now have toolbar icons etc. However I cannot select next point. Help!

I want to know ruby console error message in your problem.
So you open ruby console window and use Building structure tool.
There will be messages.
Copy the massge and reply here.
I will see.

Or,Install new version with RBZ file.
In SKetchup Preferences menu.Click "Install Extention".
And select RBZ file.
That need profile list file ,too.
Download each files.

Hi,zfrps.
I think your sketchup was missing profile list filepath.
Profile schema keeps working well.

In this version the profile list is not included in main file.
Because installing guard from overwriting the already existed profile list you changed.

So you must set your profile list file path,if you delete your profile list with building structure tool folder.
The generating automatically from edges with "apply" button.

Please watch video I added in first thread.

Thank you for your reply. I have now loaded the new .rbz file.
When I open the BST tool options there are no profiles listed.
When I select CLASS I get the following message "how to edit_pflist.pdf is not Exists. So read from default.
When I select OK I get the following message "could not find profile list. So select your profile list file"
There is no CSV file or xml file that I can select.

When I cancel the select file dialog some default profile appear.
If I change the class then I get the same sequences of messages again.

When I look at the other tabs in the BST tool options the box backgrounds are black so I can't see anything.

Can you guide me to the csv or xml file. Thank you

But I tested this verison in mac os yesterday.It was no problems.

I placed the profile list file in the top of threadhttp://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?f=323&t=35798#p315482
please download "default_pflist.csv" or "northAmerica_pflist.csv" or "default_pflist_xml(unzip from default_pflist_xml.zip)".
And change profile list path.
"menu" -> "plugins" -> "building structure tools1.0" - > "change profile list path"

The problem is related to web browser "Safari".
I changed css styles about textbox text color to white.
Probabry you will see texts in textbox.
(But that problem is not shown on my mac os, so it fixed "probabry")
