      Hello everyone!

I'm having problems with the sketchup display on my new XPS15 laptop. The lines and surfaces are all jagged, even as soon as I open sketchup and draw a simple rectangle on the ground. Moreover, the axis lines are jagged. In my opinion, it should be a settings problem, since my laptop is quite powerful, I believe. I've already turned fast feedback off, no changes. On the other hand, when the use maximum texture size box is checked, the lines go from jagged to dashed. According to Dell, my Nvidia drivers are up to date. These are my laptop's specifications:

      Model: Dell XPS L501X
      Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM)i7 CPU Q 740 @1.73 GHz 1.3GHz
      Installed memory (RAM): 6gb
Graphics Card: Nvidia GeForce GT 435M (2GB)
      OS: Windows 7 64 bit
      Sketchup 8 pro

Any idea of what the problem could be?

      Thanks in advance!

Win Xp and 7.1 here but, while in the Open GL pref have you an option to change the antialiasing. If so try that also.

try if disabling the "hardware acceleration" (= OpenGL) in the SU OpenGL settings fixes the problem, if yes the OGL support of the used video driver causes the problem.

you then might want check the official nVidia driver downloads pages for something more current then your recently installed driver version (which? -> "Start > dxdiag > Display...").

The current version is 266.58 from 18.01.11.

Installation preferrably with administrative user rights: right click > run as admin...

          hth,
          Norbert
