Give some types of railing you wish to make. sketches of them would help.
There are plugins that do stairs and will create railings with them. Do you want pipe railing, railing with ballusters, straight and angled ? There are plugins you can use to make any sort of balluster and handrail shape then extrude or copy them according to your design needs..

yes im talking about railings for balcony, stairs, mezzanine etc etc ,,,, you know made it automaticly like parametric standards and with many options ,forms,dimensions. Its just for save time whe you're designing and have a building facade with many diferent types of balcony hand rails......

There is a plugin called Profile Builder. This could help with different raillings and easy to change them. Available on Smustard.
