      I have a project i'm working on with a little bit of complex façades,i usually use Revit architecture for my 2D stuff and sketchup for 3d.
      this time around i want to do everything in sketchup,is there anyway one can get real good elevation views in sketchup and layout(taking into consideration depth cue and all that).like say real technical elevation views and plans
      thx ❓

        Do you mean: Camera> Standard Views> Top, front, side, bottom? Or Camera> Parallel Projection?.
        Save view as unique named scene. Window> Scenes> UI window?

        The above is in Sketchup.
        I do not use Layout.

          There's a Depth Cue option under the Edge settings for Styles.

            I've also used fog to create a depth map that can then be used to create a mask to control contrast or color of an elevation.

            I set my model to be white, lines just off white (was a glitch if they were white), and fog in black.

                Could you show us an example? An image of what you'd like to achieve...

                (Not everyone is an architect here to exactly know what you mean...)

                Gai...

                  @hassanykb:
                  Are you talking about photorealistic renders, perhaps?
                  Or are you talking about all lines in an elevation being the desired length?
                  These questions lead to two different paths.

                  What is your experience level with this program?
