Group#copy fails on Mac?

Is anyone aware of why Group#copy might return nil on a Mac?

No. Never used it.
But if you need a workaround you can use add_instance to add a copy of the group.

It might be a conflict with one of my early plugins (mover2).

One tool was Sketchy Physics that messed with group.copy [or it did]. I've looked at the code and can't see where it does it BUT some users have reported problems...
I gave up on it for 'Mirror' and instead I grouped the selection, got the group's definition, placed another instance of that group with the same transformation, mirrored it with a scaling transformation... and finally exploded it - either erasing or exploding the original back as it was as the user choses... That way does seem to avoid the problems that SP's users were getting with Mirror and group.copy...
