OT (Google Groups) but need help.

I am trying to post and manage my subscriptions for google groups, but I keep hitting this brick wall.
No matter what I do, I keep comign back to this screen, which means that I can't post on the appropropriate google forums for help.
Does anyone have any ideas?

Looks to me as if you'll need to update to a gmail account for you to be able to access your page.

Getting fed up of having to scroll through the same posts each visit?
