I wish Google Would send my SU8 Key...
Day 3... after buying Pro... still no key...
-
make sure to check your junk folder as well as any old forgotten gmail accts.
i paid for 8 through my standard email but the license came to my gmail act.. fortunately for me, my email reader has gmail pushed to it so i didn't miss it.
i did read about someone else here waiting for over a week only to discover the license was sent to their gmail.could be something else of course but i'd check that out for now.
-
yeah it did send a receipt to my yahoo account even though it specifically had a box to fill out for the e-mail for the confirmation and license info to be sent to...
and of course I e-mailed them...
project is due today, I guess I'll save it down to SU7...
-
day 5 still no key... e-mailed them after 24 hours, still no reply.
-
they got gajillions of dollars... I'm a small fry.
-
relief...
day 7 or 8? after using google checkout's "complain to seller" link I got this today.
"Hi Kristoff,
Thank you for your note.
We understand that you'd like to retrieve your license information. Please find your authorization for Google SketchUp Pro 8 below: "

"Hi Kristoff,
Thanks for contacting Google SketchUp. We regret to hear you never received your license information via email. Our records show that your license was sent out automatically following your purchase.
Please note that the license information template we send out contains executable links to our product download and may be getting flagged as spam by your internet service provider. Below is the license information again without the links.
We recommend adding our email address domain of @sketchup.com to your white list to ensure you receive future emails from the SketchUp team."
yeah I knew that it may be flagged as spam, but I actively and daily check my spam folders because lots of things I want go in there... and it never came.
what irks me is they had a specific box to declare an e-mail addy that I wanted the license info sent to along with whatever addy they had on file... and I filled it in. I expect more from Google, they're too big to make these little mistakes. thanks for listening to me vent.
so anyway... all is well in my world and I'm now SketchUp 8 Pro... now I'll be hitting a couple of Plugin Developer's donation boxes to complete my Christmas support of the modeling world.
