I have a number of models that I have built over the time I've been getting the basics of SU down and before I learned about decreasing the number of segments in arcs and circles. With spindles and curved surfaces, these models are needlessly large in size. Is there a way to globally change these settings, i.e. select an area or a model and reduce the segments in all of the arcs and circles?

May all your dimensions be the sum of their total.

That would be nice, wouldn't it, Jerry? You could try Polyreducer by Whaat although it may remove too much detail in some cases. I'd be interested to know how you get on with it in your application.

I ran a little test on a turned goblet. With a 10% reduction it made only a small change to the detail and that worked quite well. It did leave a number of co-planar edges which I was able to remove. I think it ought to help you out.

Is one of the Bezier plugins able to create editable arcs?

        Hi

I don't know, Jim. I think Jerry is after editing existing models, though.

Sure, I suppose I was thinking such a plugin was merely difficult, rather than completely impossible.

            Hi
