I'm very new to this forum so I don't know how common this question is, but is there a way I can record sktchyphysics action onto an MPEG or an AVI file? I have Sketchup 7 right now.

      Thanks a lot.

        Basic answer, yes.
Look at the Sketchyphysics clips on youtube, if you have not seen them already.
Now, hopefully someone who can fill you in on the details will spot this, and really help you.

I take the slow, deliberate approach in my aimless wandering.

The normal way is generally a screen capture animation as SP animations cannot be "translated" to scene animations that SU could natively export. You can use some simple, free programs for this like CamStudio for instance.

But of course, the "real" thing is if you use some third party software which can export (among others) SP animations, too, and on top of all, nicely rendered (see some examples below rendered and exported with Twilight Render)

Gai, that first video is great. I like the animation of James Watt's balls.
