I'm not especially into modeling churches and such but I love to look at those old drawings and watercolors. Thank you, my friend.

          Dear David,

Hand drawn plans always have that little something that computer generated drawings seem to lack. The Abererch Infant's School is a lovely example. I tried to find the school using Google maps, but without success. The closest I think I came was 'old school apartment'. That might be it. These old buildings tend to last a long time.

          Kind regards,
          bob

I would like to contribute some sources. Unfortunately, they are only in German. However, you will find many interesting historical plans and maps.

The old school at Abererch is probably the building at these lat/long co-ords

                    Dear Cosycat,

Thanks for posting the co-ordinates. I'll take a look and compare it with the original drawings. I emailed the library to see if they offer high resolution images. It would fun to model the school.

                    Dear Charley,

What sort of engineering did you do? Thanks for the links.

                    Regards,
                    Bob

                        Hi Watkins,

I'm a retired mechanical engineer. In the past I worked for the Fresenius AG in pharmaceutical plant engineering, mostly abroad, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Iran, Bulgaria, Yugoslavia, France etc.

I am very interested in historic building reconstruction.

                          Dear Cosycat,

Thank you for the links. The lastwelshmartyr.blog is very intersting. I watched the YouTube clip on Irena Sendler. Very moving.

                          Charly,

If you are interested in historic building reconstruction then you and Gaieus must have a lot in common. If you ever holiday in the UK, then be sure to join the National Trust:
