When creating scenes, SU sometimes ends up creating new scenes that are actually the same as others in the model. For example, Scene 1 uses a style with Shaded with Textures and Scene 2 uses Hidden Line. This is two different styles. Go to Scene 1, change the view to Hidden Line and make Scene 3. SU prompts to make a new style, modify the existing one or do nothing. To maintain the Hidden Line style, pick Create New Style. Now you have two identical styles that are only different by their names.

So, is it possible via Ruby to go through the styles in the model, check them to see which ones use identical settings, delete all but one and update the scenes involved?

hm... is this because SU is set to auto-audate your styles?
I have that turned off - so I have full control over them.
