Thanks, that is useful. I needed to do that once and calculated it using historical CPI data, this site makes it a no-brainer.

Beware - it's a scary thing to work out!
I recently discovered that (according to one or other of the various calculators) inflation from the time of my birth to now was about x17. That's bad enough but housing inflation (in UK) appears to be about 10x that - or x170 !!

someone should make one that will adjust for 2050 or so.
it'd be great to have a heads up prior to making any sort of monetary investment.
