      Hi

Ive created a simple internal scene of a living room and downloaded a couch model from 3dwarehouse. This model was 9mb in size, however when I imported it - it considerably slowed down my scene. Also, when usin Vray to render, it takes around 5 minutes or so for teh render screen to appear. Is this just how it is or can i work around this?

Also, I have just purchased a new PC and its quiet high end, is there any way of optimising the use of my graphics card (1gig Nvidia card) and 12mb of ram?

      Thanks in advance.

Using SU 7.1 (and also 8 at times)

Well, 9 Mb for a single couch is indeed something too large. I do not use V-ray but I can imagine that (just like any other renderer), it needs to generate all the model meshes and with a complex model it may take a while (although 5 minutes do seem to be a bit too much).

As for your hardware; SU is a 32 bit app and therefore cannot use but only 2 Mb of your memory. Rendering is another thing; v-ray may be exploiting the extra ram (if you are on a 64 bit OS).

        Gai...

Exactly what is the version number of the VfSU you use?
