Accurate rotation
-
Is there a way, maybe a plugin, that will allow me to accurately rotate an object? What would be really good is a plugin similar to Nudge, that lets you use the arrow keys to move objects in small increments. I have searched extensively for something like this, have come up with zip, so any help will be much appreciated.

Its funny that to me, a script like "nudge" would be less than accurate for rotating. Have you used the rotate tool that is built in? It allows for complete accuracy, and also lets you just sort of eyeball it if that is what you need. It is a 3 click process. Click the pivot point, then click on a point to align, then click where you want that point to align to. Or if need a specific degree, make the first 2 clicks, then just type in a number and hit enter.
Otherwise, I do understand if you really just don't liuke that workflow - there is probably a script somewhere that does it more like a "nudge".

I've never understood why the texture object wasn't manipulated as-if it were a polyface. Stick the rotate tool on a corner, start to rotate it, stop, type in the real number you want. Done. Would save me plenty of time.
The paint bucket should locate the red pin of a texture in the same manner as the pencil locates a line -- where you click it. For myself, that would often be on a vertex where I would hope the paint tool would be as smart as the pencil tool and infer I mean a snap-to.

The rotix plugin does what you want. Works with groups & components.
