Catamaran

Looking good
-
^, it does indeed.
-
Thanks ntxdae and MIke.
I see several geometry problems that will take a while to fix and then it's back to the remaining details that have to be added.
-
Fixed the issues, except for the bow.
Completed the rigging. It's not very detailed as I had no good references to go by, but it will pass at a distance and no problem in scene render.
-
Once again, very nice sir.
-
Thanks ntxdave.
-
A cracking piece of kit mate, a properly fine boat you have there.
-
Thanks Mike!
To be fair, it has some geometry issues. The next one will be far better.
-
Most excellent even without a pirate flagβ¦.. how about a really really big shark crashing down on the boats stern ?
-
Thanks tuna!
A shark you say?
Update. Almost finished! Sails, both stowed and open, and propellers are all that is left. And some minor detailing.
And it only took... 12 years.
-
Second test render. Just a test. The model details are not finished and this will not be the final scene.
-
And that's it! Done!
I will make two versions from this. One with sails open and one with sails stowed.
I could find no good references for the rigging. This was the best I could do.
-
Really coming along.
-
Thanks ntxdave!
Another test render.
-
Interesting but with no sail set and stopped in the water, possibly more suited to the marina Liam has posted.
Perfect bar the setting. -
Sensational work mate, very nice craft, If you get my drift
-
Great job Bryan. All it needs is anchor lines out and a secluded tropical beach background and itβs there.
-
Hey Bryan, not to be picky but did you put netting between the bows up forward? I can't see any in your renders. Most all cats and tris do that, we had cris crossed seat belt straps between ours.
-
Thank you for posting! These are excellent! It is great to see some people still take Sketchup seriously. Your hard work is to be commended!
-
This is coming along great.
