Please try to deactivate the Plugin and then reactivate. the Problem is the Entry in die Registry for the Plugin. I have fixed the bug in the "mx_hidemanager_loader.rb" ...

No feedback?! I am looking forward to your opinions

Well, I have tried again and have the same error as before. I did removed all of the plugin before re-installing the plugin.

Works fine for me.
Got some thought on it:
-
It'd be helpful if the ComponentDefinition name was listed in the list.
-
Being able to disable the automatic hide/show feature when you mouse over an entitiy - it floods the undostack which I'd rather avoid.
-
-
not work ;(
-
Are you sure you extracted all the files correctly?
(btw, for those who report it's not working, what SU version do you use? And what OS?) -
Sketchup 8, Vista. I have the same error code as shown in Caleidos4D post.

Well sorry if I upset you but this manager is rather useless IMHO. Why?
Because your model is itself a manager of your 3d elements. And if you'd turn on "show the hidden geometry" mode you can easily select\unhide\view it's properties without any additional tables. -
I don't see as a bad idea. It's like the Unhide By Name in 3dsMax. In complex models it can be easier to locate the object in a list instead of visually in the model.
All though I normally hide/unhide objects by layer, I occasionally hide objects temporarily - and some times several. Bringing up a list without leaving the current viewport is a nice thing.
-
I also think it's a good idea, as you can see all your hidden objects at once. The only thing I miss is that hidden objects within groups or components are displayed but I don't know whether this can be done. Maybe similar to the Outliner as a tree structure?
-
Its a very interesting plugin! And as it is your first I feel like congatulating you for doing work that help the rest of us , have a better workflow.
I could really make use of it, but I am not going to download yet. You should really listen to Thom, if you don't mind me say, cause he is very experienced.
This plugin can be "a must have" for everyone.Keep up the good work, and the feedback will come.

Thx for the feedback...
Is there a function to the undo function to prevent
for the undo stack? Or a code snipped? The error is to be here, I can not find...

Merging undo stack items can be unpredictable to deal with. And both would cause the wrong name to appear in the Edit>Undo menu. I'd not recommend them.

@Caleidos4D

And if you'd turn on "show the hidden geometry" mode you can easily select\unhide\view it's properties without any additional tables.Honestly this was an unnecessarily rude response. It may be useless to you, but may be of great use to others whose work process is different from yours.
I tend to hide some geometry to work on other items, being able to toggle a specific item into visibility without having to make all of them visible and the attendant slowdown of the program because of the huge overhead increase of all the sub geometry that also turns on when I show hidden geometry is a real boon.
So, thanks for an interesting and I think, quite useful plugin. Great first effort, would that I were able to be able to reciprocate with a plugin of my own. In any case thank you.
All the best and looking forward to your future efforts.
