Thumbnails

Hi All,
Would any body know why all my skp files are not able to be viewed as thumbnails?
I have the correct setting on the task bar "Thumbnails" but this doesn't seem to work!
This all happened when I downloaded the new version of sketchup8!Does anyone know of a setting I have to set so I'm able to see these skp files as thumbnails?
Hope all that makes sense!
