      I'd like to state right off, the problem here lies between the keyboard and the chair 😆 namely..Me!

      back in Silver Shadows Snowberry thread, he mentioned using a Ruby ( http://www.smustard.com/script/PageExIm ) to move model sections to other files to work on. I quote

      @unknownuser said:

      I took my model with everything in it, set up the scenes i would like. Made 3 files for example, and copied the parts into that to make the model smaller. So then i have 3 files all containing parts of the model, and with this plugin i just import my scenes to them. Because its smaller file sizes and less detail, it can be rendered bigger in vray without crashing.

      I have the Ruby... but I can't seem to work out how you do this? eg pages? thats Animation Scenes?

      (see I'm clueless...)

      haaaaayllp?

        ok... no one can help me with this? the files the Ruby produces are empty. so I'm doing something wrong. I went back to the Smustard page to see if I missed any instructions, well, there are none other than this is how you export and import.

        so I turned to the SU help files. nothing in there.

        and the forum search, for pages, scenes, etc have turned up about 1000 hits.

          Hi Khai,

          You should copy parts of your model and paste in place in another file.

          PageExIm is only to exporta nd import pages (or scenes - they were called pages before S 6) so that they exactly match in both files.

          Gai...

              thank you for that Gaieus.. thats exactly what I needed..

              I'm rebuilding a model I made in trueSpace and it's a tad heavy in SU in 1 piece so I need to work on sections...

              thanks again!
