    Hi,

I'm not really a newbee but i've just bought a Mac and try to work with Sketchup.

It's quit different on using mouse. I have a magic mouse but there is no middle button.

Do you know a tutorial that show how to use mouse (with shortcut) with a mac?

    Thanks in advance.

PS : my first problem is to simple pan or rotate my view without having to do a Cmd+B or Cmd+R but just with mouse button (like on PC).

The best solution would be to get a "normal", 3-button mouse. You will just suffer this way as mouse buttons can be altered within SU with any modification key

Gaieus is right, dump the magic mouse. They do really enhance drawers though 😄

Well, before you dump your MM, try out the free program called MagicPrefs. You can configure your mouse to all sorts of things.

          It might work for you).

Thank you very very much for this advice.

This mouse is just so amazing. Just one click to activate the middle button (I didn't know there was a middle button) and i can do all other magic mouse stuff.

              Hi Rick,

Thanks for that info (and sorry yolepro for almost making you dump that mouse). I did not know it either (nor apparently a friend of mine who is a Mac maniac and the other day we were suffering with SU for this mouse reason).

I'm going to keep my suggestion to dump the mouse. There are a number of well documented problems, and although the track pad like control is fun, when things start to go wrong, your love for the beast will diminish fast. Before I quit using mine, it had started to lose its sensitivity, meaning doing most operations at least twice, then it would simply take off on its own, autoscrolling or whatever, then the pointer would simply vanish, then it basically gave up the ghost.
In the end I just don't think you can manufacture something that is this finely sensitive that will hold up to the punishment that a mouse actually takes. Good luck though it's cool while it lasts.
