How do you want to be disposed of?

Cremation. Sprinkle me somewhere I'd like to be. Burial plots are only for 100 years anyway, and after that nobody will likely care who I was. Everything returns to the Earth eventually, so the only thing different about resomation in the end is the low energy use compared to incineration or manufacturing of a casket.

I've always liked the idea of being buried in a cardboard coffin and a tree planting above me, no gravestone.
To be honest, I guess it could easily be a cremation and my ashes sprinkled under trees now I think about it.
I no longer have strong feelings about these things. -
I'd actually like the local medical school to be able to use me as a cadaver, hopefully helping a kid learn something from me finally.

Cremation for me, but did you know you can now get your remains turned into a diamond! So your family can still see you shine everyday.... but my missus says there's no point for me as you can't polish a turd

If life goes my way, I will have a motorsports complex on I10. I'd have myself gilded and statured somewhere on the premises.

I want to be shot out of a cannon so I can go out with a bang.
Actually a professor I had in the Fine Arts School at the University of Wisconsin-Madison was shot out of a cannon. He even made it onto Youtube.

Wonder how much it would cost to be shot into space?, in some kinda pod, with my rigor mortised right hand forced into a Spock greeting.

Last I checked, you could have a gram of ashes shot into space for around 5000.00.
Edit: $1500-$5000 for LEO, $10,000-$45,000 for the Moon or other.

Morbid but inescapable. Another eco choice would be a cardboard coffin (for either burial or cremation) in a woodland cemetery. Fairly minimal impact and as traditional as you would like it to be.

I didn't think there would be much reactiion but it looks like members do think about such things. I have a spot picked out for my ashes in County Kerry. It's on a mountain that can be reached via a road that links Inch Strand to Camp Village. I have even shown it to my wife but have a feeling I will have to write it into my will if I want it done.

My grandparents were cremated and ashes were buried under a tree in the "Life for a Life" scheme. Suppose it's a nice place to go and "see" them, but I had a feeling the scheme is run by con-artists...

Don't care really, probably the cheapest method. Worm food or ashes, when you're dead, you don't have much to say about it...
