I've sent and re-sent some SU problems via Google's web form (I'm a Pro user) but have yet to hear back. Anybody have suggestions for getting their attention? I thought buying Pro entitled you to actual support. Thanks.

They normally get back to people from what I've heard. Often times posting here or on the groups will help too. They often keep an eye on this forum, but they officialy monitor the Google groups 🤢 .

What do you need help with, anything anyone here might know?

Thanks, Chris. Here are my issues (I'm running SU Pro 7.1 on WinXP Pro):

          1. I can't access the Help Center or Contact Us sections from the Help menu. When I click on these, nothing happens.

          2. When I click on Check for Update (on the Help menu) a dialog pops up saying the update service has been disabled. How do I enable it?

          3. When I start Layout 2 it displays the splash screen and I can see various components being loaded. Then I get a Windows dialog saying Layout has encountered a problem and needs to close. How do I fix this?

These seemed like things that were more appropriate for support than the forum, but if anybody has some ideas, I'd love to hear them.

Hehe, ok yeah, I agree. The only thing I could recommend would be to uninstall and reinstall. Or maybe even just try to reinstall and it might give you the option to repair, as so many installers do.

Otherwise, yeah, thats all over my head 😄

For some of these problems I couldimagine (but yeah, this is merely my imagination) that something is blocking SU from accessing the internet. I would certainly try what Chris suggested - a reinstall often helps but it is also something like when a doctor prescribes aspirin for any kind of diseases.

              Gai...
