When is Windows through booting? How can you tell?
How many is too many applications on a Windows machine? How can you tell?
What is all that processor activity going on while the machine is relatively idle? How can you tell?
How many is too many desktop shortcuts? Why can't you group them and lock them in place without putting them in subfolders?Why don't 3rd party app developers fill in all of the data fields in the View Properties interface for files and shortcuts related to their apps?
Why doesn't Windows Process Viewer name the application using the process/ resource?
Why can't I get quick answers to these questions in a Windows related forum?

What pisses me off...
American morning TV, these clowns are failed actors commenting and giving opinions and creating silly catchphrases for serious issues then cutting short all expert opinion to do a cooking segment.
TV ads, First you have a Mcdonalds ad then an Activia ad, then a Taco bell ad followed by a Jenny Craig diet ad, followed by a Burger king ad then a Weight watchers ad.... eat, no diet, no eat yummy burgers, no eat healthy supplements...aaaargh!!
Then to top things off they throw in a 3 minute pharmaceutical ad for an antidepressant, erectile dysfunction, heart health or bone density.Reality shows....c'mon there is nothing real about them, they are all scripted, what is worse is they are watched by idiots who need a life, considering their ratings...we have a lot of lifeless f*cks in this country.

Cell Phones. Everybody is always on them, and I have to listen to their idle chat. I was at a wedding once where the grooms cell phone rang during the vows! Do we really need all this phoney inter-connectivity.

Im pretty jaded with TV in general: not having a TV at uni makes you realise what crap 90% of it is when you start watching again.

The almost complete loss of critical analysis
/ constructive criticism in the gallery section. While it is nice to hear the occasional "nice work" "I really like it" etc. ........ tell me what it is you like about it, or better yet what you don't like and why. I fear a few bad threads have made some gun shy, and others are now too afraid to offend and won't comment with anything of substance........OK - 1 more and I will stop for now. Gazillion page mega-threads made up mostly of car wip's and more specifically individual car parts and the posters own indignant replies as to why nobody commented on their fancy freekin door handle that received 5 star ratings on google's craphouse!
OK - sorry for the vent but it felt good to get that out of my system!

I hate the fact that the sound level on the TV goes up about 50 Db every time the adverts come on...yet all the TV companies deny it's any different. Plain stupid...I'd guess most people are like me and just automatically press mute, so don't hear any ads at all.
Or better still (if you have something like Sky+) just delay the start of a proggie for about 10 minutes, so you can fast forward through all the junk. -
Actually, I think that they use compression on the audio signal, which squeezes the dynamic range of the loud and the soft to one level--loud. Or, at least that is what they used to do.

Beef. Yeah, I have a couple:
The death of personal responsibility in the U.S. Somebody drives after having a couple drinks, then gets in a wreck while texting on their phone... So they sue the cell phone carrier and the local bar. Couldn't be their fault. No. Don't even get me started on the crap written in any power tool documentation. I shouldn't stop a saw blade with my hand? Really?
And while I'm at it, the way nearly all the news media sensationalizes everything. "The hidden killer that may be lurking in your home" as the lead-in to a story about a house fire caused by a frayed extension cord comes to mind. Give it to me straight. Please.
Hmm. Maybe slightly better.
