Happened just down the road from me...
I often drive along that very bit of the A1
The woman driver of the car was interviewed on TV today -
she still seemed 'dazed'... not surprising !

so how exactly did it happen?was she already parked in front of the truck?

She was in the inside lane - she had just joined the road and leaves the motorway very shortly afterwards - on her way to work early a.m.
The lorry driver seems to have not seen her and hit her rear wing, swinging her onto the front of his truck... then he pulled into the other lane with her still attached !!!

I just loved the bit during her news interview when she said the driver didn't seem particularly bothered about what he'd done...and asked, begrudgingly, if he needed to stick around until the police arrived. The fact that it was raining so hard is probably the only thing that prevented her tyres from exploding; I shudder to think what the consequences of that would have been.

The lorry driver probably didn't notice her car stuck on the front of his grille, as he was perhaps texting on his mobile-phone whilst watching the Breakfast TV show on the 21" HD propped up on his dashboard - or perhaps he was eating his breakfast and those cornflakes are awkward to eat with one hand
As I drive along that stretch of road very often I hope he is no longer doing that route -
The lorry driver that chopped the front left quarter of my car off a couple of years ago(I escaped without a scratch) wouldn't have noticed it at all unless the other drivers hadn't started signalling him.
