Mac problem: decimal point in numeric keyboard won't work
-
the problem: since upgrading to snow leopard 10.6.2 the decimal point in my numeric keyboard will not function as a 'comma' when entering a number. i tried all combinations in the numbers preferences pane but nothing works.
looking for solutions on the internet i found enough evidence that it is related with keyboard layouts. trying different keyboard layouts i found out that if i use the spanishISO layout the nemeric keyboard will function as expected but the writing is screwed, of course. being from brasil, the layout that suits me is US - International PC.
does anyone have any solution for that? is there a way to tweak a keyboard layout?

yes, absolutely. thanks, tig.
i was about to post this reference here. i consulted with a brazilian mac expert and he suggested i could use ukelele for that which i did and it worked. i just made a copy of the layout i use and changed only the key i needed.
