Snapping to models in LO

I try to move a scene of a model to onther scene of the same model but sometimes the snap works and most of the time it won't snap to elements of the model (and yes all models are vector or hybrid). Is this normal or do i do something wrong?

The move tool in LO does not have the capability to precisely move objects using snapping to geometry yet.

For now, the best you can do is to nudge one model with the arrow tools and then align just by eyeballing it.
