Scrambled SketchUp
-
Hi everyone,
I KNOW this has been covered before, but I can't figure out how to phrase the search engine.
I'm using a 'new to me' PC and keep getting this nonsense below. Any insight how to fix this would be appreciated.

First bet would be video card/driver (check your OpenGL settings in preferences and disable hardware acceleration for a test)
Then a weird CAD import (I am never surprised with those either)
-
Ouch, I would check for an update on the driver for your graphics card.
Others may have ideas but that is where I would start.

I would LOVE to hear the fix for this. When I run sketchup on my windows partition (macbook pro) I have this same problem. I've tried playing with the openGL settings but it does no good.
-
It happened to me when i made an update for my video card driver..i reinstalled my original driver and now works fine.

Let me guess, you are using an 8000 series nvidia card?

i have 8600 gt myself...if u made an update recently try to revert to the old driver version..

NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT

I'm using two monitors and noticed when a pop-out such as 'Materials' or 'Layers' is in the draw window, the scrambling is especially harsh.
Also, so you guys know that don't experience this problem, it doesn't effect the file and it is somewhat infrequent, usually doing it when copying or moving poly heavy groups, etc.

There used to bbe problems with these series of nVidia but AFAIK they fixed the drivers. Are you sure you cannot get one that works?
-
Yup, those are problems of the past, all the current drivers will sort it out.

You mention PC but not mfg.
My Dell XPS still does not have "updated driver" but settings in link below will resolve the scramble if you are on similar system.
