      Hi Guys,

Do any on your remember, now I'm talking a long time ago, the little trick of placing a flattened cigarette box on the rear frame of a bicycle so that it created a mechanical sound?

Well somebody has produced a device that you can plug into a car's cigar lighter that does much the same thing. You can have a V8 or V10 racing car sound in your 'normally' quite sets of wheels. BTW, only the occupants of the car will hear the roar! Maybe someone on the pavement if you have the volume turned up and the window down.

SoundRacer V8 turns your boring family car into a fire-breather http://www.soundracer.se/

I imagine your kids will get a great kick out of it.

      Mike

We used playing cards when I was a kid.

My brother would like this thing. I'd rather have it sound like the cigarette pack or the playing card in the spokes, though. ๐Ÿ˜„

We used bits of card too, when of an age to play with bicycles. When older and more mature (yeah, right) a car owning friend had some sort of tape based doohickey that tried to make tire squealing noises when cornering. The technology of the mid 70s wasn't really up to it. I guess these days you could pretty easily make an iPhone app that used the accelerometer to work out a suitable noise to play through the stereo... hmmmm.....
