Touch Pad

I am new to using Sketchup and would like too know if anyone else has had problems with trying to make Window and Door openings using a touch pad rather than a mouse. I am using Windows 7 professional 64bit. Right now it's kind of hit and miss. The walls of the house are double sided and right know I have to make an outline on one side; push it to the other side and than retrace lines around the "pushed out "side and than erase the area I wish removed. This works most of the time but sometimes I have to repeat the proccess several times before it works. Is this a problem with the touch pad drivers or is this a problem with with windows 7 (maybe sketchup is not Touch Pad friendley). Any help would be appreciated
