need some help, as i'm not sure if this can be automated or not.

have a wire frame, almost all square edged, and quite complex. i'm wanting to know if there is an automated way to create a pipe or tube that follows the entire wire frame.

clean edges a plus! prefer not to have pipe inside of pipe, to save some file space.

the model i'm working with is located here

      open for suggestions.

        Lines to tubes?

It will not intersect and clean up, you'll need to do that yourself.

PipeAlongPath with inner/outer radius== or TubeAlongPath will make a 'tube' along a set of connected edges BUT they can't branch - however, the 'ends' junctions are tidied up.
You'd need to selected a number of connected edges/curves [end-to-end] and use the tool several times to make a partially tidied frame. Lines2Cyl etc will make all selected edges into separate cylinders...
Some manual tidying up will be inevitable with branching forms...
