LO 2.1 incompatible with 2.0 files- OSX tiger
-
I've been discussing this in the google SU help forum for a few days, but it's not resolved. Mac OSX, 10.4.11, SU7.1.4870, LO2.1.4870 versions of -SU and LO are recently downloaded updates that should be compatible (obviously) with SU 7 and LO2 which I bought in jan 2009.
My LO files, created in summer with LO2.0, are consistently showing the following problem when there's more than ONE SU viewport on a page: the view appears normally on screen, but upon export to .jpg or .pdf, the images themselves flip upside down and left to right! Bjanzen I see you are here as well.... you are everywhere! Hope to to get some good advice soon- this is not just a bore, like not exporting .pdf's...... that was easy, export as .jpg and save as a .pdf. This is a genuine hold-up, I can't issue the new sheets with the elevations and perspectives upside down! But still, I LOVE SU and LO, for the record. Fantastic.Just now as I opened SU there is a prompt that there is another newer version of SU to download- any sense in getting that?
ps tried several timese to attach/upload the files, but it just loads and loads... any tips? -
Hello Barbara.
Are you opposed to updating or something? You may find that updating will cure many of your problems you are currently having. I would for a start, try and get a Leopard installer disc first- on eBay? The graphics for starters work far better on Leopard than they did with Tiger. And why not get the latest version of SU too? It would seem rather silly not to?

Is there anyway youcan test on a newer version of OSX, not Tiger.
Tiger has caused us endless problems like this. We currently have
a Tiger export PDF problem. -
Hi Barbara and welcome here as well (although I can see you've been around for a while).
Could you attach an example file that is causing this? No need for a whole, big project - maybe just a single page of a "lighter" model.
I am on a PC so we could see if I open it, how it behaves. Maybe it is indeed some OS dependent issue. -
I'll try to respond both here and to Google Help: we did test our files on 10.4.11 (and one machine with ATI 1600 - the common MacBook Pro graphics card of 2 years ago), and we're not seeing it. To send in the file, Help->Contact Us->File a Bug and you can attach a file to the bug you're reporting. I'll get it from our support group and we'll test with your OS & graphics card, and this time with your file. Thanks.
We have had a regression bug from LayOut 1 where this would happen, but we haven't seen it lately. Just for grins, upgrade to 2.1.5803 if you could: LayOut->Check for Update.
