In 'document setup - references' when choosing "update" on files that are marked "out of date" and are hi-lited in red, the files seem to update fine, but the "out of date" notation and red hi-lighting do not change. Doesn't happen with every file, but enough to make it bothersome.

Are you sure the link is valid, and you're not just updating the embedded version? LayOut keeps an embedded copy of the model in case you move the document or send it to someone. If LayOut can't find the link, it's in red, and it should never be in red if the document is truly updated. Can you confirm this by changing something on the file path listed in the link (opening separately in SketchUp and NOT by "open in SketchUp" from LayOut) and see if that change is picked up?

We have confirmed this behavior. Update the SketchUp file, save, choose update reference in layout, the layout viewport window updates to reflect the changes made in sketchup, but the referenced document remains hi-lited in red, and "out of date" notation.

All of our files our kept on a server, which up until the latest release has had no issues with linked files showing the updates correctly.

The program is working and updating as expected....it's just a bit unnerving when it indicates otherwise.

Ah - so what's your OS and what's the fileserver OS? We put things on a server all the time, but it could be that we're not getting a consistent / true file status. Let me know, and we'll try to duplicate it and fix / change if possible.
