Chrome browser sucks (at least for me)
-
Yes, on a core2duo @ 3,16GHz it's embarrassingly slow. And I got that "Ooops...blah-blah" message so often -and for any page!! My internet speed is pretty good and stable (I watch TV online with no problems). And closing it...well, it competes with IE I click now on the X and I can go on kitchen for a cup of water and come back until it closes.
When you think I started to like it and decided to give it a chance... it was all so promising.
Maybe Google becomes the next Microsoft (prepares us with promises for next fancy bloating software?) ?I am curious if I'm the only one disappointed by Google Chrome, or this is a general problem?

Nope, works fine for me, very fast, unless i let it open and unused for some time, then it become slow for a minute while it recovers. Most of the time, it's pretty good.

For me, Chrome is reasonably fast and stable. I don't find it much faster than Firefox - although I think it was at the beginning; recent versions of firefox have been getting faster, and Chrome slower (my experience.)
As it is, I find no reason to switch; especially considering the number of Firefox extensions that I use daily which are not available in Chrome (yet.)

Ive been having a few problems with chrome recently as well, although im using the developer version (which comes with plugins!) which might be causing it. Still find it much faster than firefox and IE though.

I honestly don't mind Chrome, but I don't particularly find it that great either. The lack of available plugins is one peeve, and I do have the dev version. FF has a lot more useful stuff available that I use all of the time.
I guess I just find Chrome a little dumbed-down, though I hope that will change. Unless FF does something that causes me to lose faith in it or Chrome has something I find more useful (like a lot of freeware that turns into paid- or ad-ware), I don't forsee myself switching.

kind of what youd expect for software that hasnt had a stable version yet (the dev version, that is.)

It seems to me that Chrome fixes a non-existent problem and fills a non-existent gap in the market...
IE sucks big time [most of us agree?]... but Mozilla FireFox is stable, easy to use and has plenty [too many?] of handy plugins, and a very well established user base...
Why use Chrome then? As far as I can see there aren't sufficient reasons to migrate to Chrome... -
Chrome suffers from the typical Google disease. Nice idea, but not very well executed.
But as it is fairly new, the benefit of the doubt I'd say.For the moment, nothing beats the browsing experience you get from Firefox.
Very fast, no hassle at all and without any adds or other crap, by using plugins.
