So much to do so little time...
There's another triangulateFaces that's a little newer somewhere on this forum - that triangulates all selected faces no matter how many sides they have, and also keeps UV-mapping etc [thanks to thomthom's help] - although as long as you know that you have only four-sided quads then this tool is probably a little quicker...

Awesome Script! Thank you for provided it to the community.
I will be using it to triangulate faces for export as OBJ, then importing it into Blender to prepare for games. -

I know this thread is kinda old, but I Just came across this and it really made my day. Exactly what I was looking for! Saved me from some long a** hours of line drawing! Thanks a lot
