Need two plugins which I CANT REMEMBER the name :(

I am trying to make a nice Hydrangea Flower Shrub (I will share it at 3D Warehouse)
But for making it, I am in need of two plugins, which, unfortunatelly I cant remember the names nor the authors.
One of the plugins would make a sphere of TRACES... errr... in other words, it will take a central point and from that central point, randomly trace lines in all directions, at different lenghts...
The other plugin is able to place surfaces perpendicular to lines...
Basically, I need these two plugins to randomly place the flower buds around the central shrub.
So, anyone with good memory can help me?

I think one of your missing tools is Chris Fullmers "Perpendicular Face Tool" it is three tools in one - a square, circle and custom face perpendicular to a line.
He has a collection of must have tools.

the first one you mention is one of jims i think, theres a link to all his scripts in his signature.
