the other day i was drawing a building when i a thought occurred to me to draw windows all around the cylinder. you cant just draw normally, because you have to make it look realistic. if you try drawing like you would on a surface, the windows are uneven in there dimensions and shape. so what do you do?

You would probably intersect your window shape with the cylinder. Depending if you want curved window frames and sills, maybe even several times. Like in the model in this post (not a whole cylinder - just a half - but the idea is the same).

A couple of possible methods you might try:

          1. Draw a shape through the cylinder (a shape that's grouped) and then do an intersect (as Gaieus has already suggested)

          2. Try out Fredo's ToolsOnSurface Plugin

          ..........
          Hope this helps
