Sketchup is lagging on windows 7
-
I'm using windows 7 with dual core processor and geoforce 8600GT NVidia graphic card. When i puting textures or turning on shodowing it's starting to lag. What I should do to fix this? I have updated my drivers and it's also laging. Sorry for my english, I'm just student.

Try updating to Sketchup 7... as I see in your infos, you're still using SU6

Also, despite you updated the updated driver, it may still not be fully compatible with Win 7. Try to test it by disabling hardware acceleration in Window > Preferences > OpenGL settings.

I can't disable hardware acceleration, windows>and there is no preferences folder..I think my graphic card don't allows disabling of hardware acceleration. Any ideas to fix this problem? Sketchup 7 also lagging.

No, I mean the Window menu in SketchUp and SketchUp Preferences.

I have puted y on hardware acceleration and it's laging less. Thanks

Now this is obviously NOT the solution, rather just a test if there is any problem with your video driver (as the card itself should be able to handle OpenGL).
Also make sure that in your nVidia settings, antialiasing (and maybe anisotropic filtering?) is set to "application controlled". However I think that maybe it is actually a driver vs. Win 7 issue.

I got Win7 and a nVidia 8800GT card - works great. Smooth as anything.
Pretty sure it's a hardware/driver issue.
