No Sun in Ethiopia?

Does anyone know why the sun doesn't exist in Ethiopia? It appears when the location is set to Kenya or Somalia but not Ethiopia. It's been this way as far back as I can remember - at least SU4. I've sent the question to Google with no response.

Still there in SU 7.1. Seems like one of SketchUp's coders was scammed and had a quiet revenge... and that he still works in the dev team.
