      Hi, ruby masters!
      I'm using this wonderful plugin woodwork.rb http://forums.sketchucation.com/download/file.php?id=22441
Is there a way to use simple expressions in the dialog boxes and to make a drop down list of most used component names? This script is a huge time saver when working with melamine faced sheeds and any kind of plywood. I already asked the author but he seems is not around for a while.
      Thanks in advance.

Do you have a link to any explanatory material? What does this do? Who wrote it? The one you posted is to the code. When I tried it, drill and dado appeared inoperative, probably because I didn't know how to use them.

Never tried this plugin, but maybe a look at this will help you.

Dado and drill work on components - when you choose one of them look at the bottom for tool tips.
It is working wonderfully for me and a little bit of improving would be great - to use simple expressions when making shelves, drop down menu with all the names like top, bottom, back and etc.

              Hello,
I am the author. I am sorry I rarely stop by this forum. I changed email address so probably everything got lost. Let me know what changes you like and I will probably do them. My main hobby is woodworking. A sub hobby is Sketchup. A sub-sub hobby is ruby scripts. I do have small word documents describing the the use of the tools. And have some updates.

                Hello,jhoutman
I'm glad to see you back! And thanks for this very helpful plugin! When making boards - say shelf, it would be very handy to use simple expressions - width of the cabinet minus double thickness of the plywood. Also, a drop down list with most used names for the parts - top, bottom, back etc. in the "Input Board" window. Thanks in advance.
