      Hi

Ive not been using this long, however grasped it very well (with help here), however there is one thing driving me nuts (and in Corel Draw this would be a "which object is on top of the other" type thing).

I have an image (see below) whenever i try to select the object you see in front it selects ANYTNING other than one i want, including stuff thats about 10 meters away behind it, out of sight but still under the mouse pointer (i think)....

      Whats going on there?????

      Many Thanks

      Odd selection methods!

      Many Thanks

Sounds like it could eb a driver bug, try going window->preferences->openGL and then ticking 'correct reverse picking'

If that doesnt work try updating to the latest drivers for your video card.

i have an Intel G965 board, updated the drivers.... however i think it is the "reverse bug", when I turn the hardware acceleration off, it works perfect, however between clicks I can go and make dinner.

Looks like I will need to live with it until Google fixes the problem (as the menu says its a bug).

Unless anyone knows of a OpelGL update but as the software says it s a bug bet there’s no fix.

          Many Thanks

Unfortunately I think it is a problem with your hardware, as intel boards generally have crap openGL support.

One sure fire way of fixing it would be to uy a cheap graphics card, something like this would suffice: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-107-OK&groupid=701&catid=56&subcat=1010

              Hi

Thanks, will look in to this, however its a Low Profile case so would need to be server size support.

I'll do some research, do you know which manufacture has really good OpelGL support (Matrox would be nice, i like those and i dont play games, its a design box only).

              Many Thanks

                UPDATE:

Ive just bought a ASUS Nvidea EN9400GT (1Gb RAM), was cheap (UK £40), installed and working, has corrected my "selection" problem and is now super fast....

I was on an Intel Board which that inbuilt unit was 512Mb RAM (so wasnt a slow unit) however seems to be all about the OpenGL componant of the graphics board.

                Many Thanks
