What percentage of AutoCAD users to you think also use SketchUp?

That took a second to process that question But I think that Autocad has a HUGE userbase that never use SketchUp. So I think the percentage is low.

We think that people you use AutoCAD for anything useful, and who need 3D for anything at all, probably took a look at SketchUp and decided to use it instead (or in addition).
I should have gone to AIA this week. Then I could have bumped into some actual users. I belive Google has a booth there. Maybe someone from Google learned something and can comment.

You definitely should have come out to the AIA this weekend, Al. I spent much of yesterday there with Allan Fraser and the Google SU team, and I am heading back this afternoon. For the right price, I can wear my SketchUp t-shirt and hang out close to their booth and ask everyone who stops by if they use autocad, or Revit. Then I'll go over tot he Autodesk booth and ask their visitors if they use SketchUp. I'll try to get a good sampling
(ok, I'm not really willing to do that), but seriously, you should have come out, we could have gone for a drink. of root beer.

What percentage of Autocad users also use SU?
100% of the Smart ones.

No, I didn't know there were any!

Oh sure, there are. It's Mateo's design (AFAIK). Here is the "design"
And here is the "final render"
There's also a baseball cap/hat:
They were to get ready by the BaseCamp (imagine the whole "team" showing up in them) but alas they were a bit late.
Sorry Al for hijacking the topic. I won't do it again!
(Maybe we should split this off) -

ChrisI always make my AIA plans just after the conference starts. Hopefully I can find another conference where SketchUp will be attending and plan to go there.

I decided I wanted to ask these question on some other forums as well - like AutoCAD and Revit Forums. So I have created an on-line survey with all the questions.
Even if you have replied here already, please take the time to complete the on-line survey.
The results will be posted from time to time on this Wiki Page

I think 25%.
autocad help me make technical drawings after modelling 3d in sketchup.

I think this varies in different places and in different industries. Here in yorkshire I know of a lot of small and large architectural firms that employ an autocad & SU (or revit and SU) workflow for major projects. It seems to me that now their aren't so many people in the architecture industry around here that dismiss Sketchup, but that's just one industry in the north of England. In the last few months I have had at least one experience with a designer from further afield whose project I modelled, his response, and I quote: "Er yeah, nice model but we wouldn't touch SU with a barge pole". The arrogant b****** then updated his website with stills from the SU model.
