Move any object or block to Z=0?
-
Hello all of you out there,
When inserting a block/object or component in an existing sketchup-file (especially in large models)the objects sometimes are not exactly placed on level=0 (Z=0 if you want). Sometimes is just takes too long to precisely put down the inserted object or sketchup reacts too slow, or choses a different snapping point.
Is there a simple way to undo this? Like for instance in Vue-Esprit you have a drop to zero button.
I found this a incredible smart feature
. Perhaps a thought for a Ruby-script??
I searched the forum with this question but I can't seem to find an answer. I hope i've been looking in the right direction though......
Thanks in advance,

There is a script called drop.rb. It is on smustard.com.
It lets you drop a selection of groups.components down until the first thing they hit, or to a specified height. Check out the video of drop in action (17 seconds),
