they dont receive correct shadows, luminosity... nor cast correct shadows, etc. If they are behind glass or some transparent material, its also an added difficulty.

The V-Ray plugin not correctly updating whats visible or not in their batch export seems like something that asgvis should implement, not ruby, right?

Lately you've been tan, suspicious for the winter.

A long time ago I contacted ASGvis about a project where I had problem with face me components not working right in animation.
They helped me with a modified version of my script JS_FrameStep but since the project was already finished I havent tested it so I'm unsure how well it works. 😳
Thomtom, (or other scripter) PM me if you want to see the code. (I dont want to release it in its current state when I dont know if/how well it works.)

Sorry, it ended up in the backburner. Haven't had much coding time.

There is any update about the JS_FrameStep and the possibility to render each scene in a batch process according his hidden/or not hidden objects?

Thread has been inactive for a while, but the 'Faceme' component issue has been fixed with V-Ray 2.00 and Sketchup 2015. Either when rendering animations or batch rendering scenes.

I run through this issue with previous version of V-Ray. Works fine right now, and 'faceme' component shadows are now also taken in into account...
