I need help purchasing sketchup pro - as in a miracle

Well, if I have one license, I can use it on as many computers as I want so what's the use of a second one unless giving it away (provided Google allows me to - as especially with SU I'd not like to do any piracy of course)

that's basically the way i got my license (though iirc, it was via @last and not google -- ver.4?).. a company that contracts me for the majority of my work had 2 licenses and they transferred one to me and my OS..

Chris, its unfortunate that you have 'had' to verify your identity to those of us (myself included especially) who were cynical upon reading your request. I apologise for any offence caused though my comments were based from previous experiences from this cynical world that we live in where there are many who underservingly try to gain what they can from life (out of greed) and completely overwhelm the tiny few (like yourself) who should catch a break given that they're live's are tough enough. I would happily see get a license for free and applaud the kind offers made by those above. If you do come back and read this topic again please take a few seconds to consider that it is my opinion ( and hopfeully others) that over the last 10-11 years I've used the internet I can easily say this forum contains some of the nicest people I had communicated online with and I'm sure that we'd all be glad to see your models posted in the gallery section.
Best of luck and happy modelling.

A big thankyou to all here who have taken the time to help. As it turns out, Hebrides has some influence at Google, got my message up the chain of command and Google has been in touch with miracle in hand... Many thanks to all those that have gone out of their way to help me in private and most of all -- THANK YOU GOOGLE. Theres still the question of what i am going to do about control - but i think im going to leave that up to a logitech SpaceNavigator for Notebooks and a logitech trackball... I may have to dual boot windows to get the right controller. Im also going to try it with my tablet.
once again, thanks to those with the warm kind hearts and selfless guidance. Most of all thank you to my sources google based and those ive spoken with in private alike! My humblest apologies to those I offended, past and present. This forum appears to have thenicest people the internet has to offer... I'll be leaning o you when it gets rough to get the results i want. NO DOUBT THERE.
Peace:
...now on to training

Chris,
this is great news, looking forward to seeing your designs and Thanks Google! -
...and remember: plugins and rubies are a great way to make modeling faster and easier, and most of them are free. Also, if you ever want to render anything, may I suggest kerkythea? It's free, easy to use, and can acheive great results.
All those are sketchup models, rendered with kerkythea.
(If the pictures take up too much space, I'll remove some. Just giving you some ideas/ inspiration) -
yeah dude im only 14 and i don't have pro and some of the things i model are IMO pretty good.

This is good news. As for training, I got two "Go 2 School" dvd's I no longer need. I could toss 'em across the Atlantic. They're fun, and they do a good job at introducing novices to SU.
Anyone else got something useful?

A SU T-shirt (or a pair of barely used socks)?
Joking apart - come on, Chris, start posting those questions about how to model this and that...

Hi Christopher,
I am pleased to see you got the help from Google that you hoped for.
I have to say though, I feel one forum member has taken some unfair criticism for saying what I believe many reading your first forum posting felt.In regard to your original posting, I have spent the past decade working in design for the auto makers.
I would recommend that you contact suppliers to the auto makers rather than the car companies themselves. Trust me, the kind of HUD you are referring to will come from a supplier. I hope they may help you.See the links for supplier examples:

At $125 a post, Christopher must be one of the best-paid forum posters in the world?

I think I missed that reference John...I'm lost.

He made four posts on here. He got a $500 programme for free. $125 for each post he made.
