Help with slanted roof/ceiling floor plan
-
so I'm trying to SketchUp (is this a verb yet?) a floorplan that has low walls, and a slanted ceiling that peaks in the middle (think a-frame house, but not quite as steep), and am curious about the best way to go about it...any and all advice is appreciated
TIA

thanks Ecuadorian for the link
I watched http://www.vimeo.com/2254304 to get an idea of what the plugin was about and I'm not sure that is what I need...I'm wondering more about the floor plan and the inside walls rather then the actual roof itself...I've been building them up, then crossing them with a diagonal line, and then push/pulling the extra stuff...is there an easier or better way then doing that?

also, another, kinda related question...if I want to put in windows that aren't on the same plane as the roof, should I make them seperatly and place them on the existing structure, or should I try to build them in place
TIA

You can use the [project faces on a plane along vector] script.
http://www.crai.archi.fr/RubyLibraryDepot/Ruby/en_sections.html
This will intersect a selected face with a sloping plane along a selected vector.
Great for interior walls in rooms with sloping ceilings.dtr
