Anyone know what the limit of exporting images is from layout. I am trying to export a 300 dpi image of a 36 X 24 inch sheet and get a message about the image being to big.

Granted thats pretty big, but come on google.

You might have some luck if you lower the dpi.

        fossa,

LO uses your system RAM (up to 4GB)to process and export images. The larger the image, the more memory is needed for processing.
The error you saw was due to LO running out of memory to work with. If you have other applications using large amount of memory, try closing them down before exporting your image.

        I hope this helps

          Thank you..that does help

I'll try that first thing tomorrow. I exported to hi res pdf (200 meg pdf file) then brought that into Photoshop at 300 dpi. Hopefully thats good enough for the printers. I'm on xp pro 32bit with 2 gig of ram, I'm thinking that still may not be enough to go directly to image.

Thanks again...its nice to know the google team is watching (and responding) to these threads.

What version of LayOut are you using?
            What OS are you running?
