SU& file keeps crashing

I have a SU7 file that keeps crashing. I was working on it and stepped away for a few minutes, and when i come back it just crashed and failed. Everytime I try to open it again it just "quits unexpectedly", it can open new SU files, just not the one i was working on. Any suggestions? I have a mac osx and never had this problem before, the auto backup file does the same thing.

Here's a thought: did you happen to send the file to LayOut? If so, it'll be linked in LayOut, but have a copy of the .skp if it loses the link. If so, open the LayOut doc, right click on the model and open with SketchUp.

I'm having the same problem only with su8. I open the file, don't do anything but try to save and it crashes. I open the backup file and it freezes the entire computer. 1473 edges, and 382 faces and 83 MBs? Not sure why. I've tried to copy and paste the 2 layers (as groups) I have into a new file and it doesn't recognize me copying them. I've also noticed that when I open the file, the 2 layers I made aren't there. Only "Layer 0" is there. I'm not sure if this was ever resolved, but it would be good to get some help with it... very frustrating.
I'm running Mac OS 10.6, 4 GB RAM, and 3.18 Ghz processor... I've also opened other, larger files and haven't had an issue, so it's definitely specific to this file...
I tried to upload the file earlier but it was too large. Thanks for any help,

I just spent the last 3 hrs getting back to where I was from a previous autosave file, and now the new file is doing the exact same thing... I can't even open the file any more.
