Mac SketchUp opens from and saves to odd directory...

I am not sure what happened to make SU start doing this, but whenever I go from File -> Open or File -> Save the directory (or folder) in the subsequent dialog is some obscure folder where I had at one time placed some SketchUp files.
I am thinking at one time I opened an older file that I had placed there because it was close to what I needed... might I have done something then to make it remember that directory? It is rather annoying.

Interesting that you brought this up, because it has just started to happen to me, and it is only in SketchUp that it seems to want to save to this old file.
First place I look though when I can't find the file icon.
