[Plugin] V-Ray Tools
-
What was your previous version? Nothing in SketchUp 8.0.16846 should have affected the API it uses.
Any errors in the Ruby Console?
Also, what OS do you use? (Please add your info in your profile.)
Btw, I have version 2.0 ready to be release very shortly.
-
Nothing comes up on the Ruby console. No errors or other messages.
I'm on Windows 7 x64 Ultimate edition.
Despite of the not changing field, the aspect of the viewport seems to be changed. I can get the ratio correctly on the "Output" tab of V-Ray. I tried rendering with just the aspect ratio of the Output matching the SU's (left the Zoom field of V-Ray unaltered: 1.00 ) and it kinda worked as expected.
Maybe we don't need to mess with the zoom anymore? Can you confirm that, Thom?

Yes, with the newer VfS it's no longer needed to set the zoom. It'll all be clearer when I release version 2.0.

yes..thank you..

Version 2.0.0
- Removed the Sync Camera feature. V-Ray for SketchUp should now correctly match the SketchUp viewport.
- Added "Purge V-Ray Materials" for removing V-Ray data from materials.
- Added "Use as Material Override"
- Added "Reset Camera Aspect"
- Aspect Ratio and Export Safeframe is now merged into one dialog.
- Adjusting aspect ratio tried to compensate for viewport "jumping". (Not perfect in all cases)
- Added "Recreate Scene" to rebuild photomatch scenes as normal scenes.
- Bug fixes.

Woohoo! Nice job thomthom All very useful things

Hi thomthom,
This sounds exactly like what I'm looking for (having issues with 2-point perspectives in Vray not matching SU) - do I need to do anything special with the .rz file? I just copied it into my SU plug ins folder but it seems nothing happened. Will I get a new tool bar or something the drop-down menu?
Thanks so much.

V-Ray doesn't support 2pt perspectives. This plugins cannot fix that.
To install RBZ files you need to use the Install Extension feature in SketchUp.

I'm super excited about this plugin!........but the file isn't opening on my mac?!?

When you say "opening", what do you mean then? Are you using the Install Extension feature in SketchUp? ( see link in post above )

VfSU doesn't support parallel view. But if you set the SU camera to as near zero degree AOV it's pretty much the same - and that does work.

Install RBZ files using the Install Extension feature of SketchUp 8.

I'll bet that is the problem. What browser you use is not relevant. Internet Explorer always exist in some form in Windows.
There is Internet Explorer the engine - webdialogs use it, .CHM help files use it, lots of applications use it in some form. It's an embedded version of IE.
So, regardless of what web browser you use, keep Internet Explorer up to date as there is much more software that makes use of the IE engine.
